Islam Times – Saudi Arabia is considered the biggest financier to what Saudi citizens call “Jihadi Operations” in Iraq. Reports suggest that the Saudi government is sending two million Saudi Riyals per day to support the war effort sabotage in Iraq.
Millions of Saudi Riyals are being collected weekly in the campaigns of private donations, including senior Saudi traders in both Riyadh and Madinah and Makkah, Jeddah, Qassim, Dammam, to support what they call “jihad against the infidels” in Iraq, middle class Saudi merchants think money paid in those campaigns go to people who deserve it. Up to five percent of monthly salaries of Saudi workers are also being collected under the title “The support of Jihad”.

The money rose by Salafi elders from the citizens’ Zakat, are collected in banking institutions then washed and send to Al-Qaeda terrorist leaders through mediators.

The people raising the money, sometimes by force, are clerics loyal to Al Qaeda and receive a monthly sum of 4000 Saudi Riyals for their efforts.

Some civil institutions related to Al Saud princes, are working under the guise of charitable organizations that issue regular publications and announcements calling for Saudis to donate money to causes like “Nigeria Poverty” and “Digging Wells in Tanzania” and many more. Sources added that one of these institutions is (Al-Haramain charity).

Some Saudis revealed that money is easy to collect and terrorist acts are easy to finance because most funders are supporters of Al-Qaeda and its ideology.

Insiders say that the fabric of Saudi society and the cycle of money in this country are very complex and represent a horizontal network consisting of imaginary companies and institutions linked to agencies with local and international network branches with Islamic character. All of these institutions provide a tight cover of huge secret financing of war operations in Iraq.

“The Jihad in Iraq” funding as they call it in Saudi Arabia consists of hundreds of what is known as “active funding cells” that have a wide fan base that support their plans and that take money from mosques, schools, and gyms.

The main institution that supports and funds terrorism in Iraq is the “Mosques and Charitable Projects Management” and the “International Islamic Relief Organization” in Jeddah, as well as “the Islamic Development Bank” which transfers money from Saudi Arabia to Iraq.
