Reports say the regime of Saudi Arabia is likely to occupy 50 Yemeni islands in the Red Sea.
Saudi forces enter the islands on an almost frequent basis.
The Riyadh regime forces sometimes even force the Yemeni fishermen out and confiscate their boats.
Saudi Arabia also occupied two islands belonging to Yemen in 1972 and 1998.
Yemeni Foreign Ministry has reportedly called on the Sana’a government to deploy security forces to the islands.
The reports of the Saudi plot against Yemen’s sovereignty over its islands come at a time when Yemeni anti-regime protesters have been calling for an end to the Riyadh regime’s interference in the internal affairs of the country.
