According to a Lebanese Army statement, the Israeli reconnaissance plane entered Lebanon over the town of Naqoura at 8:05 a.m. local time on Wednesday (0505 GMT).
The plane left the Lebanese aerial territory over the town of Kfar Kila at 12:10 a.m. local time (0910 GMT).
Also on Wednesday, four Israeli warplanes entered the Lebanese airspace over Kfar Kila at 9:45 a.m. local time (0645 GMT). The aircraft left the airspace at 11:00 a.m. local time (0800 GMT) above the town of Alma al-Sha’ab.
Israel violates Lebanon’s airspace on an almost daily basis.
In 2009, Lebanon filed a complaint with the United Nations, presenting over 7,000 documents pertaining to Israeli violation of Lebanese territory.
UN Security Council Resolution 1701 calls on Israel to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
