Friday observed as “Protest Day” against targeted murders of Shiites
Friday was observed as a protest day against the genocide of Shia Muslims on a call of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.
Demonstrations were staged outside Shia mosques in different areas of Karachi. Main congregation was held in front of Jamia Masjid Noor-e-Eeman where Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain and Maulana Mohammad Hussain Karimi spoke.
Similar protest demonstrations were held outside main mosques in district headquarters across Sindh province.
Speakers at the protest gatherings held Sindh Governor and Chief Minister responsible for targeted murders of Shia Muslims. They said that more than 12 Shias were martyred during last 48 hours that is a concrete proof of failure of the government.
“Shiites will stage a sit-in in front of Governor House and Chief Minister House if they fail to stop the targeted murders of Shiites,” warned Maulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain. He said that present ruling coalition would have to suffer humiliating defeats in the forthcoming elections for their failure to protect the lives and properties of innocent and peaceful Shia Muslims.
The Shia leaders disclosed that they were apprised of the fact by informed quarters that outlawed terrorist groups were assigned the task to intensify the genocide of Shias. They said that the U.S. official tasked the terrorists to do so because peaceful Shia protestors had hoisted “Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah” flags at the U.S. diplomatic missions and the U.S. wanted to punish them for that modest Islamic act.
They warned that silence of Shia leadership should not be deemed weakness because Shiites prefer Pakistan’s stability and solidarity. They expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of the state apparatus saying that some institutions of the state too were involved in anti-Shia terrorism in Pakistan.
They said they were sure because anti-Shia terrorists are not taken to task for heinous crime and it is an incontrovertible proof that the state elements were patronizing the terrorists. They said that Islamic doctrine and Pakistani laws allow them the right of defence. They said that they would soon announce countrywide protest’s schedule if the government fails to stop Shia genocide. They said they are followers of Imam Hussain (AS) and they prefer a respectful death to humiliating life.
