Pakistani security forces kill eight militants
Pakistani security forces have killed eight militants in the northwestern tribal region near the border with Afghanistan, Press TV reports.
The Pakistani forces pounded the militants’ hideouts in Tirrah valley of the Khyber tribal district during the late hours of Monday. Nearly ten militants were also wounded.
The security forces also carried out a search and clearance operation in the area after the clashes.
In a separate incident in the same region, unidentified militants carried out a bomb attack targeting a state-run girls’ school. The bombing was carried out early Tuesday in Bakharabad area of Jamrud town in Khyber.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
