Abbas Town Blast: Four Terrorists Arrested, Says Malik
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik claimed that four terrorists, who had allegedly been involved in the Abbas Town blast, were arrested on Tuesday.
Malik added that three of the accused are affiliated with banned outfit Lashkar e Jhangvi (LEJ) while another is an activist of banned Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Earlier, Malik had lashed out against the Punjab government and said that all headquarters of the LeJ were in Punjab and there was no Shia-Sunni conflict in Karachi. He had also asked why the Punjab government was not taking action against the LeJ.
Karachi writhed in pain on Monday as scores of sobbing families buried their loved ones following Sunday’s carnage at Abbas Town which left around 48 dead and more than 200 injured.
Cities and towns went into shut-down mode as protests and rallies swept the streets in an outpouring of anger against the terrorist attack in Karachi’s Abbas Town on Sunday.
