A high level delegation of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) visited Abbas Town on the Soyem of martyrs of Abbas Town Tragedy on Wednesday. Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, secretary general of the MWM led the delegation.
The delegates met the heirs and relatives of martyrs and injured victims of the tragedy. The shared their deepest condolence with them and offered fateha for the departed soul.
They also visited the Al Mehdi Relief Camp and assured the heirs and relatives of martyrs and the injured that the relief activities being carried out by MWM’s Al Mehdi Relief Camp would be continued till the rehabilitation of the victims of the tragedy.
Talking to media, Allama Nasir Abbas Jafri said that due to unwise decision of a political party on the Soyem of martyrs of Abbas Town tragedy, tension prevailed in the city and people could not attend the Soyem largely.
He said that Sunni and Shia Muslims would defeat terrorism in Pakistan together. He said that terrorism poses serious threat to Pakistan and nation has to join hands to counter terrorism.
He appealed to the Pakistani nation to observe Friday as a Protest Fay against terrorism and Loyalty Day to pay homage to the martyrs and injured victims. Later, the MWM delegation visited the hospitals and met the injured of Abbas Town Tragedy and Hazara Town Tragedy.
They inquired about their health and prayed for their earliest recuperation.
