MWM’s Candle-light vigil outside mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam for martyrs
Hundreds of candles and earthen lamps were lightened outside mausoleum of founder of Pakistan to pay homage to the martyrs of Pakistan late on Friday night.
The candle-light vigil was observed under the aegis of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen that commemorated Day of Loyalty and Solidarity with Martyrs of Pakistan on an appeal of the party head Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari.

Hundreds of male and female students, children and women and other supporters of the MWM participated in the vigil and paid respect and tributes to the martyrs of Pakistan.

“The message is clear. Great Pakistani nation is committed against terrorists. We have enlightened the candle of peace here,” said Tooba Zaidi, a female student at the scene.

Another of her colleague said that terrorists have failed and will continue to fail to harass people of Pakistan because we shall fight till the last man and shall not bow to the terrorists and they will not be able to attain anything from terrorism.

Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, central leader of the MWM, told reporters at the scene that it is duty of the government and the security agencies to crush terrorist networks and eliminate them altogether.

“Their failure to curb terrorism has tarnished their image among people. Their reputation has been put at stake and their credibility has been shaken,” said Allama Hassan Zafar.

He said that the MWM rejects sectarianism and work for whole of Pakistan as a nation therefore the party leadership has decided to commemorate the sacrifices of those 71,000 Pakistanis who were martyred due to attacks of terrorists across Pakistan.

“We have conveyed a message of unity and cohesion and message of love and patriotism by this vigil and loyalty and solidarity with martyrs’ day. Others should follow this tradition and come out and speak loudly against the terrorism,” he urged.
