The area which is near a Mosque/ImamBargah was an open ground at which armed militants of Taliban and Sipah-e-Sahaba (Yazeed) attackers threw hand grenades and fled.
A spokesperson for Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) told Dawn that people had just finished their prayers when the grenade was thrown from outside. The dead and injured were taken to the Jinnah PostGraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). The deceased was identified as Zakir Hussain, 35.
