Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has thanked people of Sindh province and rest of Pakistan for their support to the peaceful and successful sit-ins staged in every nook and cranny of the country to mourn the massacre of Shia pilgrims in Mastung.

“MWM thanks you all as you cooperated with us by observance of closure of business to express solidarity with the heirs of the 29 martyrs of Mastung Tragedy,” said Allama Mukhtar Imami, President MWM Sindh chapter.

Speaking to the protestors after Friday prayers, he said, people of Pakistan gave their unanimous opinion that the terrorists must be liquidated and they deserve no amnesty.

He said that Karachi, commercial capital of Pakistan and provincial capital of Sindh province, witnessed a complete shutdown of commercial activities. Roads and markets wore a desert look because the transporters also joined the strike.

“Protest has also been registered by the MWM supporters in Thatta, Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan, Badin, Tando Bago, Talhar, Matli, Tando Ghulam Ali, Wahgreji, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Dadu, Sehwan Sharif, Moro, Naushero Feroze, Sakrand, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kandhkot, Ghotki, Sukkur and other parts,” said Allama Imami.

The protestors raised slogans in favour their demands. They warned the PMLN government if they failed to shoulder their responsibility against the terrorists, people would march to Islamabad to oust them from power.

Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, spokesman for the MWM, said that 350 Shiites were martyred last year and 17 Shia Muslims embraced martyrdom this year in terrorist attacks.

He warned that if the government fails to take much-awaited action to liquidate the terrorists, people would march to Islamabad to oust them from power.
