Shiites stage rallies to protest against the targeted murders and Thar crisis
Under the aegis of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), the supporters gathered outside Shia mosques after Friday prayers, chanting slogans against the incompetence and failure of the government to protect citizens.
Main demonstration was staged outside Khoja Isna Ashri Jamey Masjid Kharadar where Ali Hussain Naqvi, Allama Mubashir Hassan and Shabbir Hussaini spoke to the protestors.
Amid the slogans of down with Taliban, down with terrorism, the MWM officials demanded that if the government could not protect citizens, rulers must quit. They said that Karachi became a safe-haven for the terrorists who kept killing innocent Shiites on daily basis.
They said that on the one hand Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made statements against the terrorists and on the other his PPP’s government in Sindh seemed to allied with the Taliban affiliates in Khairpur where anti-terrorists Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah (PBUH) Conference is not being allowed.
They announced that they would stage a rally from Numaish Chowrangi to C M House on March 30. They said that Shiites would register their protest against the targeted killings and deaths of more than 150 children of Thar.
