Well-attended rally protested against Shia genocide
Shia Muslims staged a demonstration outside Karachi Press Club on Sunday to protest against the targeted killings in Karachi and in other parts of the country.

Women and children also participated in the largely attended protest held under the aegis of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen women wing. They were chanting slogans against the terrorists of banned outfits and the government for its inaction against the terrorists. Lifting placards and carrying banners they were demanding military operation to eliminate the terrorists and public hanging of the notorious terrorists.

Allama Mukhtar Imami, Ali Hussain Naqvi, Maulana Ali Anwar and Mubashir Hassan and an official of the Sunni Ittehad Council spoke to the protestors. They condemned the terrorist attacks on peaceful Shiites. They demanded that a competent Chief Minister should be appointed because present chief minister Sindh lacked ability to maintain law and order in the province.

They said that Yazidi takfiri nasbi terrorists of outlawed outfits were emboldened due to PMLN government’s polivy of talks with Taliban hence talks must be ended and military should be ordered to liquidate the terrorists.

They demanded that a judicial commission be formed to hold inquiries into arrest of the innocent people by the pro-terrorists biased police officials who want to divert attention from real issue that is terrorism. They lamented that on the one hand terrorists perpetrate genocide against Shia Muslims and on the other corrupt, timid and biased officials implicate Shia youths in false cases. They demanded chief justice to punish such black sheep within police.

They warned that they would stage sit-in outside Governor House and Chief Minister House if the targeted killings were not stopped. They vowed that the sit-in would be expanded to every part of the country and that will last till the government execute the terrorists.
